My monthly microstock earnings came in at $829 for November. This amount is down $185 from last month and is $520 less than November of last year. Note that these declines are despite a significant increase in the number of pictures in my portfolio. The overall trend with microstock agencies is to pay less for more images. It's not necessarily that fewer images are selling. It's that each sale pays less, on average, as each month passes.
I started submitting images to Alamy in early October. During the first month, nothing sold. In the second month, one image sold for $20--and Alamy paid me 50% of that sale (or $10). Hopefully Alamy will start contributing more to the total earnings soon.
