I enjoy capturing images of a wide range of subjects: landscapes, architecture, plants, animals, sports, people and more. I hope to use this website to share my view of the world as seen through my digital camera.
One of my favorite things about photography is how it encourages me to take time to appreciate the things around me. Over the past couple of years, I've focused my attention on photographing subjects within just a few miles of my home. In the process, I'm seeing things in the Chicago suburbs that I didn't even know existed!
I'm learning that there are an unlimited number of great photo opportunities out there--it's just a matter of training myself to see them.
Shortly after one of my photographs appeared on a Hallmark greeting card, articles about my photography appeared in the August 5, 2010 edition of the Southtown Star as well as the August 24, 2010 edition of the Orland Park Prairie. A few months later, one of my other pictures appeared in a national advertising campaign by Kraft Foods. Two of my images were selected as winners of the Zenfolio photo contest--and those images appeared as part of the slide show on Zenfolio's main webpage for about six months each. This first one was a picture of rusty bolts while the second was of a Florida pier.
