I visit the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago quite often to practice my photography. It's a pleasure to have an opportunity to visit a zoo in another city as it gives me an opportunity to take pictures of animals that don't live in the Brookfield Zoo--such as the Emu, Gazelle and Red-Flanked Duiker.
Also, the Black-Bellied Whistling Duck resides in Texas...he didn't really belong in the zoo. When I asked a zookeeper for an identification, he told me that the duck (along with many others) just happened to land in the zoo.
