The composition shows the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph presenting the infant Jesus to Simeon, who holds the child in reverence, while the prophetess Anna looks on. The upper portion features symbolic motifs and radiant blues, greens, and golds typical of Franz Mayer & Co. of Munich, the studio that created the cathedral’s windows in 1927.
