I captured these photographs earlier this in the Cook County Forest Preserves in Orland Park, Illinois. Goldenrod is native to our Illinois prairies and displays yellow flowers in the fall as seen here. It's a spectacle of nature that I was fortunate to experience.
I captured a couple of photos of teasel in its dried stage. This is an invasive plant/weed that does more harm than good to the Illinois prairies.
Finally, I included three photos of Prairie Coreopsis yellow wildflowers from a previous visit to the local prairie.
