Earlier this month, I visited Kansas City for a few days. I stopped in Jefferson City on the way to revisit the Missouri State Capitol.

This was the first time I visited downtown Kansas City. It far exceeded my expectations. Locations such as the Country Club Plaza area, the Kauffman Center for the Perfoming Arts, the Convention Center, City Hall, Union Station, the WWI Memorial and even the Kansas City Zoo provided great opportunities for photography.

Although I logged plenty of steps, there was a free streetcar that ran 2 1/2 miles along Main Street in the downtown area--which made getting around very convienient.

I hope you enjoy these photograph of some of the things I found interesting during my travels.
