Two Minnesota Gophers fans sat in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis before the Homecoming game against Illinois on November 3, 2007.

The 2007 season was a difficult one for the Golden Gophers. Minnesota was winless in the Big Ten conference under first year head coach Tim Brewster.

Eventually, 46,000 fans would be in attendance for the game. But, with the Metrodome's seating capacity of 66,000, there were still plenty of empty seats.

The Illini won the game in convincing fashion (44-17).
