San Lorenzo wooden scupture
Carved wooden statue of San Lorenzo displayed at the San Lorenzo Church of the Picuris Pueblo, New Mexico on December 6, 2012. This church is dedicated to San Lorenzo—St. Lawrence—who is the patron saint of Picuris, and who, it will be remembered, received his martyrdom by being slowly burned to death upon a gridiron.
