The Illini played USC in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on January 1, 2008. Prior to the game, we watched the Rose Parade from the balcony of Fredo's Pizzeria at 950 E. Colorado Avenue.

After the game, we stayed in an Oceanside, California condominium located on the beach of the Pacific Ocean. On January 4th, I enjoyed an afternoon walk from the condominium during which I captured several photos (especially gulls) under overcast conditions.

This gallery contains images captured throughout the trip (12/31/07 through 1/5/08). Unfortunately, I was unable to bring my Nikon digital SLR into the stadium, so all of the shots in and around the Rose Bowl were taken with my small Canon point and shoot camera.
