Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary (La Conquistadora) at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, commonly known as Saint Francis Cathedral, at 131 Cathedral Place in Santa Fe, New Mexico on November 11, 2019. The statue, made in Spain in the 1400's, was brought to Santa Fe in 1625 by the Franciscan priest Fray Alonso Benavides. This is the oldest statue of Mary in the United States.
