I visited the Oklahoma City National Monument on December 19, 2012. The monument is dedicated to the victims and the survivors of the 1995 bombing. "May all who leave here know the impact of violence" is inscribed on the entrance gate.

In addition to photographing the "And Jesus Wept" statue, Gates of Time and Field of Empty Chairs, I included some images of the Children's area within the monument. Children from all over the world submitted hand-painted ceramic tiles after the tragedy. Those tiles are displayed on the grounds. I've included some tiles that I found to be particularly interesting.

If you ever have the chance to visit Oklahoma City, I recommend taking the time to see the monument.
