Bugling from the Grass
Bugling male elk (bull) laying in meadow at Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colorado on September 28, 2026. A bull elk lounges in the grasses of Moraine Park while bugling through the autumn air. During the rut, announcing your presence is important, even when getting up seems like too much work.
