During my most recent road trip, I was fortunate to visit some very impressive churches. The one that impressed me the most was the North Christian Church in Columbus, Indiana. The church is unique in that it is shaped as a hexagon. Much of the structure is positioned under the ground. There is a massive steeple that towers 19 stories above the roof!

I was pleased that the doors were open for me to enter the church. The interior is designed like nothing I've ever seen before. The interior of the church is also shaped like a hexagon with the altar in the center of the floor. Various offices are positioned around the church across from the interior hallway.
Nobody was in the building when I entered. The lights were off, but fortunately there were instructions on the wall for turning on all of the lights! I spent about 30 minutes photographing the interior of the church. I didn't see anyone in the building during my stay.
