This morning I visited the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix. I now reached a milestone of photographing every state capitol building west of the Mississippi River--with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii. I plan to visit Honolulu this winter. Following is a map of the capitols that I've visited so far:

I also plan to revisit some of the capitol buildings that I first visited as part of this project. I have very few images from my home state capitol of Illinois! And, I have just one exterior photograph of the Minnesota Capitol. Over time, my understanding of how to approach a capitol photo shoot has changed--and hopefully improved!
