Moving Just a Few Feet

April 27, 2012  •  3 Comments

Yesterday, I captured some photographs of the old Pachyderm House at the Brookfield Zoo. After taking the first image from just inside the building, I back up a few feet and noticed that the image looked much different when framed with the doors. I took a couple of more from different vantage points. All four photos were taken within 20 feet of my original spot. Sometimes it pays to move around a little while taking pictures!

2: Next image from just inside the doorway a few feet back

3: And a few more feet back

4: And, a few more feet back

Ken, You have a good eye. I thought it would simplify the composition by removing this items. Thanks for commenting.

On the third shot, (which is my favorite), it appears that you removed the electric conduit and box to give the illusion of blue sky. It works rather well.
